Ignorance

Gilliam,

It's sad that you never were able to look past your prejudices. It's been obvious for the past couple years that you felt far more comfortable with the Cyrenians than you did with us, that you lacked the open mind needed to see potential and a future where the masses see only something to fear and abhor.

The enemies of Progress are the fearful and closed-minded. Those who bend to the will of the masses and willfully blind themselves to the reality will never rise above the faceless crowds nor accomplish anything of note.

You mention in your post that part of our reason to agree was to learn more of the Tsol'teth. We have learned much, seen much, of the Tsol'teth and their culture, though of course not by you - you never had an interest in learning, in being open to changing the initial picture you had formed in your mind. I doubt you had the stomach to do what is necessary to attain progress, regardless.

The Tsol'teth are not our enemy. Our enemy are the people who wallow in their ignorance, who embrace stagnation, whether out of sheer laziness or fear of the unknown. Let it be known that the unknown does not become known unless it is studied and researched with an open mind, instead of screaming "NO!!!" until you are red in the face because you are consumed with dread at that which you don't understand.

There are very, very few people in the entire multiverse who are as progressive as the Tsol'teth are. Who better for the Court to ally ourselves with? The rabble of the Coalition, who have engaged in actively closing their minds on new ideas and instead attempt to return the world to the state it was in in the yesteryear? You are right in that the cities of Sapience have never given us anything, and we owe them nothing. We know what they offer: nothing. Nothing but stagnation; the world as it is, was, and ever will be, an endless cycle of inconclusive wars between Sapient cities with but the illusion of change as their power waxes and wanes.

I feel nothing but pity for you, Gilliam Winters, that you were so weak of will that you fell for the Coalition's dogma and couldn't look past generations of prejudice.

Eleusis,

No.

(Is that not how you do it in the Coalition?)

But let me explain further.

It appears that Eleusis has little will for war. Your soldiers scatter to the winds when a soldier of the Legion of Darkness approaches, your only attempts at raiding us happen when the soldiers of Chaos choose to bring you along like the lapdog your village has become to them, and you haven't even succeeded in disarming a single tank. Meanwhile, we've disarmed three of yours - in one month, and destroyed your arena.

Terms were offered to your Speaker to give your Village the opportunity to withdraw from open war, in acknowledgement of the woefully lacking state of your army. As the war wages on, remember that the option was offered, and rejected; the destruction we wreak upon you was brought on by yourselves.

Enjoy.
