Fulcrum of the Meld,
I am Keorin, Commander of shi-Cyrene, and of victorious hailqad-shi-Cyrene. I am writing to you to talk about your post, and the Tsol'teth's plans for these trials and the Staff of Nicator.
There are some on the surface who say that our people and yours simply don't understand each other, and that if we could, we would avoid inefficiency and make better progress for both our people. And so I am reaching out to you hoping that in this case, those people are right, and that this issue could be fixed in a way that is better for Anzari-tarin and Telzari-tarin.

You say in your post that you will respect the traditions of Tezlari-tarin and the Staff of Nicator, but it seems that you are not respecting the most important one of those traditions, that all the rest depend on.
The trials to see who will wield the staff have always rested on being completely neutral. No matter who held the staff, everyone has always been able to participate equally, with no price paid to whoever happened to hold it. By demanding that we submit to be sampled in order to participate, you are breaking that tradition, and so many of our best will have no choice to refuse to take part. This will make your goals impossible.
Instead of testing our best to find the most deserving wielder, you will only be testing a few that are willing to make payment to compete. You may as well just hand the staff to one of your favorites from shi-Hashan and shi-Targossas, ask them for samples, and not bother with your trials at all, the result would be the same.
In this past fighting, you seemed most interested in sampling the people who had proven themselves most worthy of the Staff, which can only be discovered through our traditional trials that include all of our best. If you do not respect our traditions, all of your samples will be from shi-Hashan and shi-Targossas, who you can already get them from easily. You will get nothing you do not already have, and the staff will not find the most worthy holder.
But if you respect our traditions, and hold the games without your price, you will discover another worthy staff holder for your lines, and know who else from the rest of Tezlari-tarin might be worthy of targeting for processing in the future. If your goal is to advance your race, it is clear which choice is most efficient.
Respect the traditions of Tezlari-tarin like you claimed, and both Telzari-tarin and Anzari-tarin will gain. Or do not respect our traditions, and you will gain nothing, and waste a rare chance for your race. You hold the Staff, and so the choice is yours. We will accept it, but we will respond how we must.
Tezlari-tarin awaits your response.
Ever Loyal,
Keorin, Commander of the Vashnars
