Truths and Hypocrisy

Sapience,

It would seem some level of misinformation is spreading, driven by the fear of the unknown. I see so many speaking about the end of us all at the hands of our new guests, yet do not take the time to even speak with them.

You mention a history lesson, yet do not speak the entire truth? You proclaim how Seleucar was some paragon of heroism, yet forget so much. Do you forget how Nicator went forth with his armies and empowered staff and laid waste to all those that did not stand with him? Do you forget how Ashtan and Shallam were brought to heel and forced to serve under Seleucar? Do you forget that it was our ancestors, the Sapient League, that banded together to finally rid the world of Seleucar and free us from their grasp? Do not mistake it for such a glorious empire.

You speak of our guests as would be conquerors, yet somehow forget that Mhaldor and Ashtan have sought the same for years? Do you fear the Tsol'teth because they actually have the capability and skill to accomplish it, unlike them? Rather than unmake or enslave, the Tsol'teth do not seek such, but rather to enhance and progress. Yet the city-states attempted to band together against them while calling them tyrants? What hypocrisy.

The Tsol'teth you see today are not the Tsol'teth of old that despised humanity and its nations, seeking to annihilate them. Their views have progressed, as we all have. Like us, they too know the history of the wars and first approached with cautious aggressive stances before learning more about us.

Some of you state that we claimed victory in the 'Second Black Wave', attempting to encourage fighting. What utter foolishness. The Second Black Wave accomplished each goal the Tsol'teth sought out, and it was only thanks to the dragon Yudhishthira that a momentary block was placed to slow their pace. That was the maximum you could muster against these evolved people...and it is now obsolete.

You do not have the forces. You do not have the magics. You do not have the prowess. You are outmatched on every level possible. So consider this, accept them for who they are, what they can offer, and their right to exist upon Sapience as well as seek to influence it as so many other do, or else be swept away as their enemy.

Think rationally or be forgotten.

Sincerely,
Asmodron Dicondron
