Cowards and traitors

Cierrah,

While Cyrene's courage and bravery are not in doubt, they and the Coalition's forces together could not prevent the Tsol'teth from taking over the city. Courage, pride, image, these things mean nothing when they lead you on a short path into total annihilation of everything you hold dear.

Your attempt at using the most base form of manipulation is crude, but no doubt it'll be effective against the masses who are just waiting for someone to tell them what to think or do as the world is crumbling around them. It doesn't have to be so, however. Those of you who bother to read this, I implore you: Rise above the masses and think for yourself. Look at the world around you. Does it look like your methods are being effective?

The Coalition has been doomed from the start. I've been present for a meeting by the Coalition and read accounts of more, and what I've seen is the leadership's inability to see beyond their own noses or to hear those who do not say what they wish to hear. I've seen them reject another city's assistance entirely due to a simple disagreement in the methods used, with no recourse for cooperation in other ways. Even their concentrated attacks on Hashan and Mhaldor evidence a desire to frighten the cities of the Coalition into compliance with their methods, punishing divergence with heavy raids and refusal to assist in the preservation of these cities.

Do these sound like the actions of people who truly have the best in mind for Sapience? Again, I implore all of you. Look at the facts of the situation. If you don't know the facts, find out. Then consider whether the actions of your leadership are rational and productive, or simply attempts at clinging to power while waiting for a miracle to come save them.

Choose wisely,
