Only Wisdom, True and Wide

A city stands, proud and tall,
Firm upon the earth it calls.
By the oceans edge, unshaken,
It challenges time, unbroken.
Adventurers with hearts so bold,
Crafting wonders from stories told.
With steady hands, through toil and years,
They build a dream, despite their fears.
The evil they wear, like a mask so thin,
The righteous are not always within.
The truth, the path we must pursue,
To uncover lifes meaning, clear and true.
Do not seek praise in fleeting light,
For knowledge shines with steady might.
Words alone will never guide,
Only wisdom, true and wide.
When one voice calls for loyalty,
And differing views bring hostility,
Anger fuels the fire of wrath,
Turning hearts from wisdoms path.
Oh, my friend, what have we learned?
Eyes wide open, yet theyve turned.
Ears that hear but fail to know,
Mouths that speak, yet truth wont show.
What is true, and what is false?
What is right, and what is loss?
When difference sparks a battles fight,
Is it truth that rules the night?
Is this the path you choose to tread?
Where voices are silenced, and hearts are led.
When hands are raised to harm and break,
How can we call it truth we take?
