An Ode To My Teacher

Now I know the difference,
Between trust thata earned,
And lessons left to be yearned.

How unfathomable it feels,
To grasp just how much you are missed.

How laughable now it seems,
To think your cruelty was ever amiss.

You taught us pain, how deep it can go,
You taught us survival, through high and low.

You taught us dignity, to stand strong and tall,
You taught us honesty, where truth stands above all.

And you always warned,
Even the wildest nations are still tame,
Even the stillest waters hide their claim.

Some lessons take too late.
Are we destined to share our fate?

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Glacian, in the year 964 AF.
