Poetry News Post #6293

To a hopeful font

Written by: Sir Aodfionn Wintermourne, a Gaian Knight
Date: Sunday, July 21st, 2024
Addressed to: Caefir Aeowynn Tav'Elaon-Banazir, Page of Aerek

Lo-da'i, young Page
Your words are received with warmth
The Queen's guard thanks you

Vines and branches grow
To know each is to know all
In life and in death

The oldest of vines
Claim summer and winter, yes
But what of the rest?

To know each of them
Will change you, and your comrades
Find the right lessons

We wish you good luck
In the trials yet to pass
It will be needed

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Glacian, in the year 951 AF.
