A Sonnet

Wine-dark waves with Moon's caress do beckon,
And azure depths mysteriously entice.
One embrace, a dance to death in seconds,
To be pursued again once I arise.
Stars clothe you in raiment of their brilliance,
While morning brings the blush of rising dawn.
What hope could I have had of resistance?
Just one more soul entranced, from now hereon.
But what you'd have of me, I don't yet know.
You have been known to take all one can give.
Though my life's art is yours in constant flow,
You'll want more, for wounds too old to forgive.

But if the Sky is what you'd ask of me,
with heavy heart, I'd give it, and be free.

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Chronos, in the year 928 AF.
