My City

Dame Aeryi,

I write this remembering the time you took for me - a new, lost novice
bard - seeking citizenship to Cyrene and the care you have shown for me
and our city since.

My City
-------

Streets are empty, carriages on cobblestone
This is my city, Cyrene, no doubting that
Soul, heart of this bard it will be
Let it be known

I remember you were there
When I was lost and alone
Imperiate of the Vashnars

The bard hall, is it to be quiet, gone?
This was their city, Cyrene, but the
Soul, heart for all the bards, so
Let it be known

I remember you were there
When I was lost and alone
Imperiate of the Vashnars

Alas, this only remains to be known, and
You my city, Cyrene, when I am again alone
Friend you will be there for me
Let it be known!

-------

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Ero, in the year 374 AF.
