Promise of a Dream
----------------------------

Sleep well and wake in peace, for I am here
Beside you, in the darkness of the night
To shield you from all harm that draws near
So you may let your inner thoughts take flight
And in your sleep unearth a strange new world
Alive with visions wondrous and eerie
Wrought from deep-buried secrets now unfurled
To weave new marvels only you will see
And while you sleep, I will watch over you
For I am the night that enshrouds your eyes
I am the dream that lets your hopes come true
And fills your mind with both despair and lies
Sleep well and wake in peace, for in your dreams
I promise you, nothing is as it seems.

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Miraman, in the year 374 AF.
