Torn between/ my happiness/ and the man I love/ fleeting moments of
bliss/ in his arms/ while struggling against/ his profound indifference

So many little things that add up/ to so much heartache/ blaming myself/
unable to comprehend/ us/ my foundation, my faith/ crumbling/ into dust

Searching for the undying devotion/ I once possessed/ Questions linger/
in my heart, my soul at best/ our spark of passion/ swallowed by the
descending darkness/ of my eyes/ robbing me of what is mine

A hollowness that will not subside/ a love so genuine that I am unable
to deny/ him/ together by vow/ separated by fate/ giving all that he
would take/ to make me his once more

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Miraman, in the year 372 AF.
