~*~*Concert Night in Cyrene*~*~



Sitting on the ground
I longed to hear the sound
My daughter, Mezra, was going to play
a saxophone tune of the night and day.

I've watched all the dances
but gave them nothing but glances
I couldn't wait for the time
when it was Mezra's turn to shine.

Finally, she hopped on the stage,
and took no more time to engage,
her practices where but so short
in the tiny house I call her fort.

Her sound drifts past my ears,
I could do nothing but cheers,
the stage was engulfed in light
Oh, I was so proud of Mezzy that night.

Suddenly her song came to a halt
I relized it was no one's own fault,
the audience and I grew so wild,
and yelled nothing but good about my child!
