Maeris, the architect of Targossas, invited a woodcarver from Jaru to discuss doing work for the Dawnspear, but things did not go as planned. The artisan Sashyna decided to make a detour and while skirting the forests, she observed a young troll being dragged off into the bushes and she hurried to the Eastern Reaches for help.

Comforting the upset craftswoman, the crowd asked what had transpired. While Quisse Wintermourne helped her remember, a scouting party traced back the route Sashyna had taken and not long after, Zarem Vorondil and Tesha al Ashtad discovered where Thano was being kept in the Aureliana. Before the burly troll could warn the approaching party, bandits were upon them and sent even mighty Sir Antonius Agarwaen to Thoth's halls. Despite the setbacks, the crusaders revived their fallen, healed, and ended victorious.

After reuniting Sashyna and her new friend, the Harbingers offered them their hospice, where Sister Terice awaited. Months went by as Thano recovered, while the nurse taught the artisan about the Bloodsworn. The unlikely duo arranged that they would open up a woodcarving shop in the lower city and so Sashyna took her burly companion as a protege, teaching him all she can while offering her bowl-crafting services to Targossas.
