It had been a quiet few months at sea. The days that passed without a single sargassum spotting were a worrying development for the captains who still had crews afflicted with the virulent plague.
It was Valnuary when the next sound was heard, not the usual haunted wails of the dead aboard a great mass of seaweed, but a warhorn's clarion blast. Thrice it called before silence once more reigned, leaving the world to wonder.
A quarter day passed in tense curiosity, some spoke of the absent Sea Lord during that time, others wondered if the sargassum and its ghastly crew had evolved in some way. But soon enough, great disturbances rocked the outer oceans, sending massive waves to crash into the eastern, western, and southern shores of Sapience.
As the great rush of displaced ocean swept back from the lands, three shadows far out in the depths started to move, closer to the land they crept with a malignantly slow purpose. The dark masses halted once they were within sight of the shoreline and three more warhorn bellows ran out, discordant and echoing, in the style of the Caspiite tritons, signalling that the onslaught should begin.
Commanded by the Caspiite Agiads, hordes of undead launched an attack upon the coastal locations of Tasur'ke beach, Thraasi harbour, and Sea Lion Cove, this their first emergence onto land since their natural lives departed them.

Summary: Following some months of silence on the seas, the Caspiites have launched an attack upon the land, hordes of undead teem into Tasur'ke beach, Thraasi harbour, and Sea Lion Cove. (See Announce #4345.)
Penned by My hand on the 9th of Valnuary, in the year 684 AF.
