We've just put a system live to allow for formalised loans between players. All of the details for how to do this can be found under HELP LOANS, but a few quick comments.

If you have a loan pending with someone, you will not be able to retire. That is to say, if you owe a player credits due to an outstanding loan, retiring is now impossible until that loan is repaid. Historically we do endeavour to catch these, but occasionally one does slip through the cracks. With that in mind, if you do not use the loans system going forward your loan is not going to be protected in the case of retirements.
