12.2.1 Minia

The land of Minia is a fanciful one with little relation to the rest of the world. It was created by the Gods strictly for use by young players.


What's There
------------
There are four main areas within Minia: the Pixie Village, the Ember Tower, the Kobold Dungeon, and the pygmy village of Miba.

Within the Pixie Village you will find a community of pixies.
The Ember Tower is the dwelling place of the Imps and their hellcat companions.
In the Kobold Dungeon you will find some rather filthy kobolds and firesprites.
The village of Miba contains a pygmy community and some of their kobold slaves.


Safety
------
While in Minia, a new adventurer is protected from the presence of older adventurers who will quickly be ejected by two large and strong ogres.


Who is Not Allowed in Minia
---------------------------
Any adventurer level 21 or over is forbidden in Minia, and will be ejected. Any adventurer of sufficient infamy (see HELP INFAMY) or who has ever been offered a chance to embrace class (see HELP EMBRACE) will also be ejected. Any adventurer that has spent more than three hundred days in the realms.


One Special Local
-----------------
Vellis, the butterfly collector (see HELP BUTTERFLIES) also makes his home at the entrance to Minia.


Getting There
-------------
If you don't know your way to Minia by foot, and if you have use of the PORTALS ability (only for people level 20 and under. Type STAT to see if you have any portal trips left), you may go EAST, then NORTHEAST from the location that PORTALS takes you to.

Sibling dragons in Minia, Lodi, and Gheladan will transport newbies (only) between the three areas.

IN MINIA: Find the dragon Auma (NE from the archway to Minia) and say, "Take me to Lodi please." or "Take me to Gheladan please."

IN LODI: Find the dragon Poraeus at the entrance to Lodi and say, "Take me to Minia please." or "Take me to Gheladan please."

IN GHELADAN: Find the dragon Lasuna at the entrance to Gheladan and say, "Take me to Minia please." or "Take me to Lodi please."

(*) Not all those who are level 20 or under may enter Lodi, Minia, Gheladan, or any other area restricted to newbies. Those who are sufficiently infamous may not enter (see HELP INFAMY). Neither may those who have ever been offered the chance to embrace class (see HELP EMBRACING). Nor those who have exceeded three hundred days within the realms.
